For Ramesh Aravind, whose upcoming film Pushpaka Vimana will be his 100th film as an actor in Kannada, following his conscience and never indulging in improper expectations have been the main traits which manoeuvred his career to the landmark. And although he has done more than 140 films including Tamil and Telugu films, he states that there is a sense of pride in reaching the mark in Sandalwood. “Touching 100 with Pushpaka Vimana is special and it is a lovely film. Since, I have completed the shoot, I can confidently state while the teaser has kindled anxiety among fans, the film will definitely match it,” he says. Recalling his journey in Kannada, Ramesh asserts that while opportunities came, it was meeting creative minds and the very joy of seeing the hard work on screen that was the most satisfying. “The money, the fame, the autographs are just perks. The major satisfaction is the work itself — be it acting; directing or anchoring a TV show. The whole process keep me charged all the time,” he notes. Speaking about the road ahead after the milestone, he philosophises that he rarely looks back to know his achievements, rather looking ahead and do more. “I understand the value of an opportunity now, more than ever before. I know the value of success and stardom. I understand the feeling that comes with privilege. And on the whole, it only tells us to be much more cautious with work. I can’t take things for granted but still I am cherishing every moment of working in films as director, actor and hosting a reality show,” he says. Pushpaka Vimana directed by S Ravindranath is made under Vikhyath Chitra in association with Wadeyar Film Factory. The film also features Juhi Chawla, Rachita Ram and child artiste, Yuvina Parthavi.
