Telugu and other language films he has played as leading man
in more than a hundred films.

This mechanical engineer turned actor entered with K. Balachander's
"Sundara swapnagalu" in 1987 and strengthened his
position with the films "Panchamaveda", "Madhumasa"
etc.
After
"Keladi Kanmani" he settled in Chennai in 1991 and
acted in about 30 Tamil fims as hero including Kamal Hassan's
"Sathi Leelevathi" and K. B's "Duet".
The huge success of "Anuraga Sangama " and "Karpooradagombe"
in 1996,97 brought him back to his home city Bangalore. A
spate of runaway hits "America America", Amrutavarshini
' "Mungarina minchu", "Omallige" "Tutta
Mutta"' Ultapalta followed. In1997, Ramesh's nine films
ran for 100 days each, consecutively, creating a record!
His
notable Telugu films include "Little soldiers",
"Sathi Leelavathi", "Rudra Veena" and
"Golmaal". His role as mentally challenged boy in
the Malayalam film "Avan Anantapadmanabhan" was
acclaimed by critics and public.
After
Plus channel's Aur Ek Prem Kahani which was premiered on TV,
he is introduced to Hindi audiences in "Mumbai Express"
as the buck teethed insurance agent in soda glasses!
Apart from acting, Ramesh's creative urges involved him in
other aspects of film making.
He wrote the story and screenplay of "Hoomale" .The
film went on to get the "Best Kannada film national level
that year"
He
was the screenplay writer and creative head of "Bisi
Bisi" apart from playing the main lead in these films.
As any Kannada cinegoer knows a Ramesh film is always a complete
family entertainer.
